The Business Geography Specialty Group of the American Association of Geographers exists to bring together individuals who have mutual professional interests in business geography specifically, and locational intelligence more widely.

Business geography is the application of geographic knowledge, information, and techniques to assist businesses in making better decisions.

Locational intelligence refers to the broad application of geographic knowledge, information, and techniques in the service of improved decision making for organizations of all kinds, including governments and non-profit agencies, as well as for-profit businesses.

Our goal is to share research, provide direction and advice for future leaders, and provide a forum for networking and interaction among applied practitioners, academic researchers, and students in the field.
